On Saturday September 10th officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department responded to the 1200 block of North 5th Street in reference to a possible burglary of a vehicle in progress.  Upon arrival they located a male, later identified as 31 year old Michael Donahue, being held down by several subjects.  Officers saw what appeared to be dried blood on Donahue’s hand.  Donahue was also in possession of a red and white bag that contained clothing.

Once officers began to investigate they learned that one of the victims saw Donahue inside of his red 2016 Chevrolet pickup.  When the victim confronted Donahue and asked him what he was doing Donahue attempted to run.  The victim, along with several other subjects, held Donahue down until police arrived.

Officer later learned that another vehicle had been burglarized in the 1300 block of North 5th Street where a red and white bag with clothing in it had been taken.

As officers began to place Donahue under arrest for burglary of a vehicle he began to fight with them.  Donahue began to spit on the officers as well as kick at them.  Donahue also began to threaten to kill the officers.

Officers were able to eventually get Donahue into custody at which time they transported him to the hospital so that the injuries to his hand could be treated.  Once cleared by medical personnel Donahue was transported to the Wichita County jail where he was charged with burglary of a vehicle, resisting arrest, assault on a public servant and retaliation.
