On Friday, September 22nd, at approximately 1:00 am officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department observed a subject in the 1200 block of Loop 11 who they knew to have an outstanding warrant for their arrest sitting in the driver’s seat of a black Cadillac. Officers detained the subject who was identified as 28 year old Gregory Beeson. In the vehicle with Beeson was 28 year old Dustin Pittman.
Beeson was placed under arrest for the warrant. A search incident to an arrest revealed that Beeson was in possession of two plastic bags that contained a crystal like substance that rendered a positive field test for methamphetamine. The substance weighed 4.2 grams. He was also found to be in possession of numerous pills that were identified as Alprazalom, which he did not have a prescription for.
Officers also spoke with Pittman and when asked if he was in possession of anything illegal Pittman advised that he had a handgun in his pocket. Officers located a .380 handgun in Pittman’s pocket. A records check confirmed that Pittman was a convicted felon therefore, he was placed under arrest for unlawful possession of a firearm. A search incident to an arrest revealed that Pittman was also in possession of a plastic bag that contained a crystal like substance that rendered a positive field test for methamphetamine. The bag and content weighed 4 grams.
Both Beeson and Pittman were transported to the Wichita County jail where Beeson was charged with his outstanding warrants as well as manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group one. Pittman was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group one.
