BURGLARY SUSPECT ARRESTED

On 06-13-21, at approx 1249 hours, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1200 blk of N. 7th in reference to a burglary of a building at that location.

The victim told officers that he was out of town when he got a motion alert on his phone from his home camera system. When he looked at his phone, he saw a blue Saturn under his carport and a white male, wearing a blue shirt, with his face up close to the camera. When he got home, he found that the lock on his shed had been cut and several of his tools had been stolen from inside.

Based on the information, officers searched the area and located a blue Saturn getting gas in the 2400 blk of Iowa Park Rd. As officers got closer, they discovered that the male in the driver’s seat matched the description of the burglary suspect and was wearing the same shirt.

The suspect was identified as Raymond North.

In plain view, officers could see a pair of bolt cutters and the stolen tools inside the car.

North was arrested for Burglary of a Building and transported to jail.

The vehicle was impounded and more of the stolen tools were recovered from the trunk.
