Jonathan Morris, age 29, was arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred on Sunday, February 2, in the 2400 blk of 10th Street where a Wichita Falls man was shot multiple times. Morris is currently being held in the Wichita County Jail and bond was set at $300,000.00.
On 02-05-20, Officers were dispatched to the Zoom-In Food Store on Seymour Hwy in reference to a subject, Krystal Gillespie, refusing to leave. In officers presence, Gillespie was barred from the location but still refused to leave. She put her hands behind her back and told officers that they would have to take her to jail. She was placed under arrest for Criminal Trespass.
After the arrest, Gillespie became aggressive and began thrashing her body and tried to pull away from the officers several times. Once under control, she was placed in the patrol car and transported to jail. There, she became aggressive again and began fighting with jail staff biting one of them in the process.
Gillespie was charged with Assault on a Public Servant, Resisting Arrest, and Criminal Trespass.
The WFPD Crimes Against Persons Unit have arrested 17 year old Shane Diaz and 18 year old Jiovani Morales in connection to the murder that occurred on January 26 in the 3500 blk of Cumberland. With these arrests, all 4 suspects are now in custody. 18 year old Shaundre Ransom and 17 year old Zaeveion Denson were arrested on February 1st.
Not only did the investigation lead to the arrest of these 4 individuals, but it also led to the recovery of the victim’s personal belongings as well as the murder weapon.
All four suspects are currently being held in the Wichita County Jail.
Early this morning, Saturday February 1st, officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department arrested 18 year old Shaundre Ransom and 17 year old Zaeveion Denson in connection with the murder of Carolyn High.
On January 26th WFPD officers responded to a call just before 3:45 p.m. in the 3500 block of Cumberland Avenue where they discovered High’s body lying in a driveway.
The WFPD Crimes Against Persons Unit was called to the scene to begin their investigation.
On January 31st WFPD officers executed two search warrants. Subsequent interviews and follow up investigations lead to two arrest warrants being issued for Ransom and Denson for Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity/ Capital Murder.
Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Wichita County jail without incident.
On 01-29-20, at approx 1:40 am, officers responded to nightclub in the 1400 blk of Iowa Park Rd in reference to a disturbance.
Investigation revealed that 35 year old Randal Burham had been asked to leave and eventually was escorted out of the club. When Burham got into his vehicle, he tried to run over the employee that escorted him out but hit a concrete pillar instead. He backed up and struck a parked car before unsuccessfully trying to hit the employee again. As he backed up to leave, Burham struck another parked car. Officers located Burham sitting in his car a short distance away and he was arrested and transported to jail.
He was charged with Aggravated Assault and 2 counts of Duty on Striking an Unattended Vehicle – Hit & Run.
Following an investigation, WFPD Juvenile Unit Detectives have arrested 53 year old Roy McLeran for the following crimes:
1) Aggravated Sexual Assault
2) Sexual Assault (2 counts)
3) Prohibited Sexual Conduct (2 counts)
McLeran is currently being held in the Wichita County Jail.
On 01-14-20, Officers observed a reported stolen vehicle traveling north in the 4300 blk of Boren Ave. When the vehicle stopped at the stop sign at Boren and Call Field, the two female occupants got out of the vehicle and switched positions (driver/passenger) and took off again. The vehicle was stopped in the 3100 blk of Lawrence Rd and the occupants were identified as Taleasha Solomon, age 34, and Trinity Noland, age 35.
During an inventory of the stolen vehicle, several other stolen items were located including a checkbook and more than 50 stolen credit cards. In addition, a purse was found under the center console, between the two occupants, that contained a pipe, several syringes, and a white powdery substance inside of a plastic baggy. The white powder field tested positive for methamphetamine.
Both Solomon and Noland were arrested and charged with the following:
- Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle – SJF
- Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information – F/1
- Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 < 1g – SJF
Today, just before 1:00 pm, officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department arrested 25 year old Autumn Cummings and 35 year old Anthony Beamon in the 2700 block of Iowa Park Rd in connection with the Murder of 41 year old Eddie Donte Hill.
Officers observed both subjects at the Dollar Tree Store and knew them both to have an active Capital Murder warrant. Both Cummings and Beamon were arrested without incident and transported to the Wichita County jail.
This marks the third arrest made in the murder of Hill that took place on October 26th in the 700 block of Warford. On November 5th WFPD officers arrested 30 year old Tyrone Smith in connection with the murder.
On Tuesday, November 5th, at approximately 10:30 pm 30 year old Tyrone Smith of Wichita Falls was arrested in the 1800 block of Las Cruces by officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department on a Capital Murder warrant.
The warrant stemmed from the murder of 41 year old Eddie Donte Hill that occurred on October 26th in the 700 block of Warford.
Officers with the WFPD had been dispatched to a residence in the 700 block of Warford in reference to a possible shooting where a witness had stated an unknown male suspect had shot Hill. When police arrived they found Hill inside the residence. He was transported to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
WFPD Detectives received a Crime Stoppers tip that, along with their investigation, helped lead to the arrest warrant being issued on Smith.
